We offer seven courses every year to employees and Partners of our member firms who work in audit and business services, and also non-technical courses to all personnel in accounting firms. We cater for school leavers in their second year with a firm, university graduates in their first year, all the way through to Partners.

During over 50 years of provision, courses have been tried and tested many times. We know the accounting profession doesn’t stand still, so accountants need to be well-equipped with the latest thinking. Our courses are adapted to match developments, and additional courses are added as appropriate.

All courses are residential, lasting between 3 and 6 days. They are held in Sydney, except for the Partners’ Training course.  Trainers are hand-selected from Partners of our member firms, or we use external trainers if a training topic demands it.

Participants emerge better equipped to deal directly with clients, to work with less supervision and to take on more responsibility. Our goal is to provide better communication skills, and an enhanced ability to think proactively, as well as the technical skills needed for audit and business services.

PARTNERS TRAINING COURSE

One of our courses is exclusively for Partners of our member firms.  It offers an invaluable opportunity not only to update technical skills in topics such as audit and accounting standards, but also non-technical skills like leadership and teamwork.  Above all, the course provides outstanding networking opportunities to mix with Partners from other accounting firms in a non-competing environment, and share war stories and learning points.
