Pooling of air fares

We pool air fares to make the venue of our courses (apart from the Partners Training Course) result in the same cost for each member firm.

Chairman’s Allowance

The Chairman is paid an annual fixed allowance to cover the time spent during the year on organising and running the group. The members set the amount of the allowance each year in advance at the AGM (currently $5,000 plus GST.)

Secretary/Treasurer’s costs

The Secretary/Treasurer is paid an annual fixed allowance to cover time spent on arranging for enrolments for all courses run by the group, convening meeting and teleconferences and attending to the accounting and secretarial functions of the group. The members set the amount of the allowance each year in advance at the AGM (currently $25,000 plus GST).

Presenters at training courses

The presenters at training courses who are Partners of member firms are paid on a daily rate for each day spent at the various training courses. Where less than a full day is spent at the training course an hourly rate (set at one tenth of the daily rate) is applied to a limit of ten hours per day (currently the presenters are paid $2,300 per day or $230 per hour, plus GST.)

Presenters are also reimbursed for travelling costs including airfares (maximum full economy fare), accommodation, meals and taxi fares incurred as a result of attending the training courses.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee members, including the Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer, are paid on an hourly basis (currently $230 per hour plus GST) for their time in attending executive meetings and participating in executive teleconferences. The time spent by the Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer in organising and preparing for meetings and preparing and distributing minutes and action sheets is included in their annual remuneration.

Executive Committee members are also reimbursed for travelling costs including airfares (maximum full economy fare), accommodation and meals and taxi fares incurred as a result of attending any face-to-face executive meetings. Most Executive Committee meetings are held by teleconference.
